      Industrial robots

Lowering the barriers to automation with robots that capitalize on our sensors and efficient, compact, and precision technologies

      SCARA robots

As the global market share leader in SCARA robots for seven consecutive years*1, Epson has an extensive lineup of SCARA models for a wide range of applications. In 2018, we expanded the T series of entry-level SCARA robots that have a built-in controller by releasing the T6, a brawnier version of the existing T3. T series robots can be used in place of multiple single-axis robots or to automate simple material handling processes.

      Six-axis robots

Epson is meeting an even wider range of needs by augmenting its lineup of six-axis robots with the highly maneuverable N series of robots. These robots operate in cramped spaces thanks to a unique, inwardly orientated second axis that allows the arm to fold, saving space and time.

      Autonomous dual-arm robot

This robot is able to autonomously make decisions while executing tasks. It has a human-like ability to accurately recognize the position and orientation of objects in three-dimensional space. Force sensors in the wrists allow the robot to freely adjust the force applied to objects as it manipulates them. It can use ordinary human tools to automate countless tasks. Easy to move and reinstall, it can quickly get started on new tasks after being moved to different locations; no special adjustments are needed. Among other things, this robot can automate challenging manual tasks in short-run production and small-lot just-in-time jobs.

      Force sensors

Employing proprietary piezoelectric quartz sensing technology, Epson's force sensors are incredibly sensitive to tiny forces and allow robots to perform fitting, insertion, and other tasks that formerly relied on human sensory perception.

      IC test handlers

Contributing to the semiconductor industry with stable, high-throughput products

IC test handlers are used in the semiconductor industry to transport semiconductors to a tester and then sort them based on the test results.

Epson's IC test handlers employ Epson's original robotics technology to achieve high throughput, stable operation, and excellent usability.

Efficient, compact and precision electronic devices

Epson will contribute to the development of smart communications, power, transportation and manufacturing systems with advanced quartz timing and sensing solutions and low-power semiconductor solutions.

      Quartz crystal devices

Quartz is an extremely frequency-stable material. Epson exploits this feature of quartz to the fullest to provide crystal devices used in consumer products such as smartphones, as well as in infrastructure and automotive applications that require exceptional accuracy and reliability. Epson is filling the timing and sensing needs of different industries with timing devices such as crystal units, oscillators, and real-time clock modules and sensing devices such as gyrosensors. We are also creating new value with unique devices such as micro atomic oscillators

      Oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO)
      Temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO)
      Programmable oscillator
      Real-time clock module

Epson develops and provides a variety of low-power semiconductor devices, such as LCD controllers, microcontrollers, ASICs, and LCD drivers. From wearable products to automotive devices, Epson semiconductors are used in a wide range of products.

      Superfine alloy powders

Epson develops highperformance superfine powders that are used as raw material in items such as electronic components. These powders are produced using our original atomization process.

      Surface finishing

Epson leverages its thin-film deposition and photo-etching technologies to provide the electronics, semiconductor, automotive, medical and other industries with surface-finished goods (e.g., gold-tin alloy plating on wafers and decorative watch bands) and printed circuit boards.
